FCCY Leadership Training Workshop Series Held

A total of fifty-nine participants from the FCCY-Luzon chapters underwent a Leadership Training Workshop (LTW) last May 14-16, 2004 at the retreat house of The
Daughters of St. Francis de Sales in Silang, Cavite. The event centered on the theme, <FCCY LTW 2004: Conceive Believe, Achieve>. The workshop was facilitated by Fr. Peterson Tieng, LRMS, FCCY Spiritual Director.
The primary goal of the workshop was to develop and train the potential officers of the FCCY in the various chapters nationwide, particularly for them to become Christian servant-leaders. In the Visayas region, the LTW was held April 29 !V May 1 in Bacolod, while the Mindanao chapters had the workshop April 26 - 28 in Cagayan de Oro.
Activities included a getting to know portion, orientation and discussion of the FCCY Vision-Mission Objectives, and group dynamics that taught the participants different aspects and principles of leadership and followership. Workshops and talks on prayer and holding prayer meetings, making personal testimonies and talks, and praise and worship, amongst others, were also part of the training. The LTW culminated with a Eucharistic celebration with Fr. Tieng and Fr. William Uy, LRMS, Spiritual Director of the Naga chapter.
