Saint Jude Chapter wins Christmas Costume Contest
Krizia Leal
The St. Jude Chapter was judged best in costume during the FCCY Manila Chapters' regional Christmas party held December 6, 2003 at the Lorenzo Mission Institute, Makati. The four Judenites who represented the chapter wore lantern costumes; the seminarians of LMI were dressed as kings; Mary the Queen, Christmas trees; St. Peter, gifts; and San Jose de Trozo, reindeer. The costume parade was held after a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Rey Pascual, LRMS around 6 p.m. Each chapter also prepared a presentation centered on the party's theme, "What Can We Give?" (which happens to be the title of the song composed by Bro. Tony Olaguer for the Himig Pasko songwriting contest), where St. Peter chapter was declared best with their short skit about Christmas amidst violence. Dinner was served at around 8:30 p.m. The winning chapters would have the privilege of donating goods to Punla, a home for the mentally retarded and those afflicted with down's syndrome and mongolism.
