Meet the New Shepherds!

On April 13, 2002, Rev. Peter Pojol, SJ and Rev. Raymund Benedict Hizon, SJ were ordained to the priesthood at the Oratory of St. Ignatius Loyola House of Studies. The ordaining prelate was Most Rev. Luis Antonio Tagle, D.D. The occasion was well attended by the Jesuits and Ateneo community and most especially by their respective families. The mass started at 9 in the morning and ended at noontime.
Both new priests are dear friends of the FCCY. Both Fr. Peter and Fr. RB are the voices behind some of the beautiful songs of Himig Heswita. To a name a few, Inay was sung by Fr. R.B. while Fr. Peter sang Panginoon Aking Tanglaw ( Chinese version ) recorded with the FCCY-St. Jude group. They have been a constant inspiration to us and to others as well.
Their ordination is welcome news to our Christian community and to the Catholic Church. We pray that God will continue to bless them and their vocation and that they will continue to inspire others to God.
The FCCY-St. Jude Music Ministry was also invited to sing at the thanksgiving mass of Fr. Peter Pojol, SJ held on April 20, 2002 at Mary the Queen Parish.
