Too fast
R5D2
Too fast! That's how I describe how time passes us by. In a blink of an eye, we're through with January, and before we know it, 2002 will just be part of our memory. Anyway, enough of the musings, it might just be a sign of growing old :)
Got some chance to dig up my CD collection and listen to some of the CDs I have. Well, I'd like to share some of my thoughts on them and who knows, you might want to buy one for your own collection too. Of course, I'd be more than happy to lend you my copy in case you want to try them out first.
Amazing Love
As part of the Music Ministry regularly singing during Sunday mass, some of the songs in this album are very much familiar. Who can forget such staple songs like Only By Grace, Hear My Cry, Go Forth in His Name, Lift High the Banners of Love and Shine Jesus Shine. The album contains a great mix of lively and reflective songs that can spice up any praise and worship session.
Temple Yard
Who? Well, it's just a free CD given to my sister, who in turn gave it to me. This contemporary praise group has incorporated the Word of God in songs that are modern in nature...similar to reggae or funky music (or so it seems to me). While this kind of music is not quite our style, still it's worth listening to. Who knows, you might enjoy it.
Yano
Yeah, you remember them: hee-hee-hee-hee. Whatever happened to this group? Although their songs are about trivial stuffs, they present them in such a funny manner and direct-to-the-point. Just listen to some of their songs like Kumusta Na, Tsinelas, Banal na Aso Santong Kabayo (their most popular hit) and Esem. Their formula (i.e. repeating one word over and over again), however, can sometimes be a pain in the ears especially when listening to their songs repeatedly. But looking more closely at the message of their songs, you'll realize that there is truth in the humor.
The Corrs Anthology
It's a bootlegged copy so I really don't know if there is an album of such title. Well, it's sort of a The Best of Corrs album with previous as well as current hits. From Only When I Sleep to All The Love in the World. It's a great buy especially if you're a Corrs fan, but make sure to check out the original Best of the Corrs album.
