Parish Pastoral Council Meeting - 09 September 2001

1. Presentation of Proposed Plan for Church's Renovation (c/o Ms. Rosalie Cheng)

Miss Rosalie Cheng, dean of Fine Arts at the College of Holy Spirit presented to the PPC her proposals for the church's renovation. She showed two schemes for the church exterior: a basic western design and one with an oriental touch. She also showed drawings illustrating her ideas for the sanctuary, the baptistry, as well as an altar for ancestor veneration.

The purpose of the presentation is to first obtain ideas for the renovation. The actual details will be further discussed and finalized at a later time. Another presentation will be given at the next PPC meeting.

2. Calendar 2002 Update

It has been determined that a total of 3,000 calendars will be required. The printer for the calendar background has offered to donate 2,000 copies to the parish. A quotation for the remaining 1,000 copies will be requested. The cost for the calendar background is expected to be around P8 per copy.

It has been suggested that the words "St. Jude Archdiocesan Shrine" on the calendar background should be enlarged while the size of the Shrine's logo should be reduced.

Fr. Pol reported that Fr. Ted Gapuz may be able to help get the calendar pads printed at a reasonable cost. The cost for the calendar pads is expected to be around P7-8 per pad. These calendar pads will include Chinese dates.
